You are now ready
to begin a journey to an earlier age and learn about your community through the eyes of
those who actually experienced it. The people, places and events introduced here are about
real people who lived in Shelby County, Ohio. Historical records have been used to
reconstruct their lives and where possible, their own words have been used. In some
cases, the details are not completely known, but are based on current understanding.
