Volunteer
Have You Ever Thought About Volunteering?
Nonprofits thrive on community involvement, support, and dedicated volunteers — and we’d love to have you join us!
We’re currently seeking volunteers to greet visitors, answer questions, and assist with merchandise and event ticket sales.
The museum is open weekdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the Learning Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
But that’s just the beginning — there are many ways to get involved!
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Assisting with exhibits and collections
- Creating scrapbooks
- Scanning and organizing photo negatives
- Designing and building parade floats
- Helping with kids’ activity days — these include but are absolutely not limited to fishing, crafts, music, games and so much more
- Assisting with crafts and games at holiday events
- Serving as a tour guide for school groups and adult visitors
- Portraying a living history character at one of our special events
- Event planning and coordination
- Fundraising and membership drives
- Gardening and landscaping
- DIY and maintenance projects
- Assembling craft kits
- Photographing and cataloging artifacts
…and so much more!
If you would like to join us please reach out to our office for more information about one of the many ways you can help today!
As a special thank-you, all volunteers are entered each month to win one of two $10 prizes!
